Obby: Climb and Slide turns height into coins through a simple climbing loop: ascend the ladder, jump onto the slide and collect a larger reward from a higher starting point. NubiGames tested the English version in desktop Chrome on September 17, 2026. We completed the tutorial loop, measured several rewards, obtained the first pet and checked the main menus. Mobile, touch and fullscreen were not tested.
Launching the game and observed advertisements
Play now opened an intermediate “Let’s Play!” screen, followed by Playgama loading and a BRIDGE screen before the playable tutorial. No advertisement appeared before entry into the game itself.
Several interstitials appeared during progression. They included Merge Shot 2048, an advertisement with a brick heart and PLAY button, and a “playgama ad” transition. We used only the close controls and never clicked the advertising content. A ×2 button with a video or clapper icon was visible as an optional rewarded offer, but it was not activated.
Goal and progression loop
The tutorial explains that climbing earns money, and that starting a descent from a greater height increases the reward. The character climbs a tall ladder, leaves it for the slide, travels back toward the base and receives coins. Pets multiply earnings, while trophies unlock later worlds.
A vertical height scale ran from 1 m to 9 km. The current world required zero trophies, with later worlds displayed at 10 and 100 trophies. Tutorial targets changed from 0/32 to 0/200. We did not reach the 9 km top, earn a trophy or unlock another world, and no explicit checkpoint appeared.
Controls confirmed on desktop
The game displayed a WASD diagram. Short W presses moved the character forward, and D produced lateral movement on the ground. The Up Arrow moved toward the ladder and climbed it. Space made the character leave the ladder and land on the slide. A checkbox named Auto Climb also worked: once enabled, the character climbed without repeated input.
A movement toward the egg area followed the A test, but an advertisement hid the transition, so A was not isolated reliably. S was also not confirmed individually. Shift and E produced no visible confirmed effect, while Escape opened no pause menu. The instruction “HOLD RMB TO ROTATE CAMERA” was shown, but right-mouse camera rotation was not separately verified.
Measured climbs, slides and coin rewards
The session began at about 1 m with zero trophies, zero coins and tutorial progress of 0/32. Climbs to 9 m, 17 m and 22 m were observed. After the first descent, coins rose from 0 to 12 and progress changed to 12/32; the character returned close to the base at about 2 m.
Later cycles provided clearer comparisons. A descent from about 59 m displayed a reward of 66 and changed the balance from 58 to 124. Another descent from around 29 m moved it from 73 to 123, a gain of 50. After the pet was equipped, a later slide changed 342 coins to 466, a gain of 124. The character reached at least 67 m during the test.
First pet and the pet shop
The tutorial ended by awarding and equipping Chick, a Common pet with a ×1.5 multiplier. The Pets screen showed 1/3 equipped and 1/50 discovered. Chick had an UNEQUIP button, an Equip Best option and fusion progress of 1/5 with a displayed 20% chance.
The egg shop showed a price of 200 free coins and probabilities of 54%, 25%, 12%, 6% and 3%. The five possible pet names were not shown in that window. Other pedestals marked 20K and 100K were visible but not opened. We did not click the 200 button. Although the balances could be consistent with an automatic tutorial expense, no transaction was directly displayed, so no purchase is claimed.
Fall, persistence and menus
A manual fall was triggered, but the exact respawn moment was not captured. The next observation showed a new low climb from 18 m to 42 m with Auto Climb enabled. The balance was 342 coins, trophies remained at zero and Chick ×1.5 was still equipped. This confirms that the observed coins and pet inventory were not reset by the fall, without proving the exact respawn point.
No Retry, Restart or dedicated Pause menu was found. Settings contained Music and Sounds enabled plus a Camera Speed slider. Pets and Worlds opened successfully, and the physical Shop area was visible. We found no Gifts, Rebirth or named Index menu, although the pet collection displayed 1/50.
Test result and limits
A complete climb → slide → reward → pet progression loop was verified. However, the pet came through the tutorial rather than a voluntary purchase. The 9 km summit, trophy rewards, later worlds, rewarded ×2 advertisement, 20K and 100K eggs, automatic income and exact respawn location remain unverified. No developer is attributed because none was explicitly identified.
