Krunker is a browser-based multiplayer shooter where a short dash through an open courtyard can turn into a firefight before you reach the next corner. Its blocky buildings and first-person weapon view make the action easy to read, while the round timer keeps each match moving. We joined as a guest on NubiGames and played through Team Deathmatch on Kanji and Kill Confirmed on Lumber.
How to start a Krunker match
Press Play now in the player above to load the game, then use CLICK TO PLAY on the Krunker menu to enter the available match. Our session started without registering an account. The menu also displayed Quick Match, Find Game and Custom Games; the mode and map names showed which match was currently available.
Once you enter, check the timer and mode in the upper-left corner. Your health is shown at the lower left, while the weapon list and ammunition counter sit on the right. The changing view, small central crosshair and visible weapon help you keep track of where you are looking as you move between buildings.
Weapons and the match interface
Our tested loadout was Triggerman with an Assault Rifle, a Pistol and a Combat Knife. We saw all three equipped during play. The rifle displayed a 30-round magazine and the pistol showed 10 rounds. Firing reduced the ammunition counter, so keep an eye on it instead of waiting for the weapon to stop firing during an encounter.
Team Deathmatch on Kanji used a city setting with narrow passages, tall buildings and fenced areas. The interface showed team scores, a player leaderboard and a countdown. The later Kill Confirmed match on Lumber took place around timber buildings, fences and an outdoor yard. We entered that mode, but did not confirm an objective pickup during the test.
The default keys are listed under Controls below, using the official Krunker controls guide. Bindings can be customized. The E and Q prompts matched the game interface; the other keyboard assignments were checked against the guide.
Deaths, respawns and the next round
Being eliminated brings up a comparison with the opponent, including the weapons used. The death screen in our session reported time survived, shots fired, accuracy, kills and score. We then returned to play with 100 health, so a death did not require creating an account or restarting the whole game.
At the end of a round, a result screen displayed performance information and a countdown to the next one. Map and mode choices appeared between rounds. An invitation to register advertised cosmetics and a premium perk; we continued testing as a guest.
Practical tips for your first rounds
Use the first match to learn the routes between cover. Kanji’s tight passages and Lumber’s open yard present different sightlines, so check the next opening before moving across it. Watch the ammunition counter after firing, and make a deliberate weapon choice rather than changing equipment in the middle of an encounter. Read the current mode name at the start of each round so you know when the match has changed.
Desktop test and compatibility
Tested in the NubiGames player on desktop Chrome on 15 October 2026, in landscape orientation. The game interface we saw was English. Phone controls and fullscreen were not tested. One session showed an almost blank, gridded scene; the map rendered normally in a later session, but the cause was not established.
No video advertisement was seen in the sampled gameplay observations. Registration promotions were visible, and purchases were not verified. Advertising may differ between sessions. For other browser combat games, browse our Action Games category.
