About this game

2 Minute Football QB Legend is an American-football passing game that asks you to choose a route and find an open receiver against a moving defense. NubiGames tested the browser version on a desktop computer on August 30, 2026. We completed its passing tutorial, opened the first regular-season opponent screen and played the full opening quarter against Texas. That quarter contained an incomplete pass, a completed first-down gain and a touchdown that changed the score to 7–0.

Launch from NubiGames and Playgama

The NubiGames page first showed Play now, keeping the third-party game unloaded until that button was pressed. The embedded Playgama page then displayed “Let’s Play!”. Clicking it produced an interstitial message saying that the game was about to continue, followed by the playable canvas.

The first field view showed a 0–0 score, 1st & 20 from the 20-yard line, the first quarter at 1:00, three route cards and a ten-second play-selection countdown. Pause, help, settings and sound icons were visible below the field. We did not open settings or change the sound.

Tutorial and tested passing control

The opening tutorial told us to click a play. After choosing one of the three diagrams, yellow routes appeared and the players started moving. The next instruction said to click on or near a player to throw; a “TAP HERE” marker identified a receiver. Clicking that receiver launched the ball and produced a catch. A second guided play worked the same way, after which the coach message sent us to the first game.

The separate How to Play menu repeated that the throw is made by clicking beside the receiver. It also showed a mouse gesture and WASD keys for running. We attempted horizontal mouse drags after catches, but their effect could not be separated reliably from the receiver’s automatic run. This test therefore confirms route selection and passing with the mouse, not manual running or keyboard control.

Opponent screen and regular-season context

The first opponent card was labelled Game 1 of 8 and Regular Season. It named Texas and listed its defense as Zone, blitz as Aggressive, pass rush as Very Fast, defensive speed as Average and weak side as Right. A coach bubble stated that winning the last four regular-season games would reach the playoffs. We pressed Play, but did not complete the full game or test later opponents and playoff qualification.

What happened in the played quarter

The real game restarted at 0–0, 1st & 20 on the 20, with 1:00 in the first quarter. Our first selected play ended as an incomplete pass. The following choice screen showed 2nd & 20 at the same 20-yard line and 0:39 remaining, so neither the score nor field position had advanced.

The second pass was caught and the receiver was tackled. The next selection began at 1st & 20 on the 41 with 0:19 left. In this observed sequence, the completion therefore advanced the ball from the 20 to the 41 and reset the down to first.

We chose a third route near the end of the quarter and threw with 0:04 displayed. The clock reached 0:00 while the pass and run were still unfolding; the sequence did not stop at zero. The receiver completed the play in the end zone, the score became 7–0 and “End of Quarter” appeared. The help menu separately states that touchdowns are worth seven points, matching the score change we observed.

Clock, downs and the next possession

The How to Play pages say that a first down requires 20 yards and that each quarter lasts one minute. Both labels were consistent with the tested scoreboard: the offense began at 1st & 20, and the quarter clock started at 1:00. Another help page said running out of bounds stops the clock, but we did not produce an out-of-bounds play and cannot confirm that behaviour through gameplay.

After the quarter, a First Down panel said, “Arizona runs it back to the 29.” Continuing opened the second quarter with Arizona leading 7–0, the ball on the 29 and 0:46 on the clock. We stopped there, so the opponent’s scoring sequence, the remaining quarters and the final result were not tested.

Menus, advertising and test limits

The help button opened a multi-page How to Play guide with Got It controls and a Skip Tutorial option. Its pages covered throwing, the displayed running inputs, the 20-yard first down, seven-point touchdowns, one-minute quarters and the out-of-bounds clock rule. The pause button darkened the field and showed “Game Paused — Click here to continue”. The opponent card and three-play selector were also used. Settings and sound remained unopened.

One interstitial was observed during the Playgama launch. No later advertisement or purchase screen appeared in the portion we played; this only records what happened during this session. We did not finish the game, face another opponent, reach the playoffs, verify manual receiver movement, use WASD, test every route, or check settings and audio. Mobile, touchscreen, controller and fullscreen were not tested, and no developer attribution was observed.

Football choices in the Arcade collection

You can find 2 Minute Football QB Legend in the Arcade games collection. For a relevant contrast between compact sports games, try Soccer Random: its tested solo control used one Up Arrow action for both players, whereas QB Legend asked us to select a route and click a specific receiver.

Frequently asked questions

How do you throw a pass on desktop?

Choose one of the three route cards, wait for the receivers to move, then click on or near the intended receiver. This produced successful passes in both the tutorial and the tested match.

What happens after an incomplete pass?

Our first match pass was incomplete. The next play began at 2nd & 20 on the same 20-yard line, with the score still 0–0.

How long is a quarter?

The game clock started at 1:00, and the help menu explicitly said each quarter is one minute long.

Does a play stop immediately when the clock reaches zero?

Not in the sequence we observed. The final pass and run continued after 0:00 and ended in a touchdown before the End of Quarter screen appeared.

Which opponent and score were actually tested?

We played the first quarter against Texas. Arizona led 7–0 after the touchdown, and we stopped at the start of the second quarter.

Was manual running verified?

No. The help menu displayed mouse and WASD running controls, but our drag attempts did not isolate a reliable movement effect, so manual running remains unverified.

How did the tested completion earn a first down?

The offense moved from the 20-yard line to the 41, and the next selection showed 1st & 20. The help menu says 20 yards are required for a first down.

Controls

Desktop test: click one of the three route cards, wait for the receivers to run, then click on or near the intended receiver to throw.
The help menu displayed mouse and WASD running instructions, but our mouse-drag attempts did not isolate a clear movement response. Manual running therefore remains unverified.
Keyboard, controller, touchscreen, mobile and fullscreen were not verified.
