Nuts Puzzle: Sort By Color uses vertical bolts and stacks of coloured nuts. Separate the mixed piles until each completed bolt holds four nuts of one colour. NubiGames tested it in desktop Chrome on September 14, 2026, completing Levels 1 and 2 and reaching the Level 3 setup.
How the nut-sorting rule works
Only a nut at the top of a stack can be selected. It may be moved to an empty bolt or onto a bolt whose top nut has the same colour. The game refused a tested attempt to place yellow on red: the pieces stayed where they were, with no visible charge or other penalty. This restriction means the open bolts are working spaces rather than finished destinations.
Consecutive top nuts of the same colour can travel together. During the second level, one drag transferred two yellow nuts to an empty bolt. A finished colour group contained four matching nuts in both completed levels.
Mouse controls confirmed on desktop
The tutorial demonstrates two clicks. Click the exposed nut to select it, then click a compatible destination bolt. The selected nut lifts slightly before the second click. Drag and drop also worked: hold the left mouse button over an accessible nut, move toward the destination, and release.
W, A, S, D, the arrow keys and Escape had no visible effect; Escape did not open a menu. Enter also failed to activate the Level 3 Start button. Mouse input is therefore the only confirmed desktop control.
Levels 1 and 2 completed
Level 1 is a short guided board with two bolts. Three yellow nuts begin together on the right, while the fourth is isolated on the left. Following “Tap to Select Nut” and “Tap to Move Nut” completed the four-piece stack immediately. Confetti appeared, followed by “LEVEL 1 COMPLETED!”
Level 2 introduced red and yellow nuts across two mixed stacks plus one empty bolt. An attempted yellow-on-red move first confirmed the restriction. The two accessible yellow nuts were then moved to the empty bolt, exposing two red nuts. Combining the reds produced a stack of four; moving the remaining yellows onto their matching pair completed the other stack. Level 2 ended with the same confetti sequence. Claim then opened the Level 3 setup, where three colours and five bolts were visible.
Rewards and practical help
The first completion showed 25% progress toward a wheel, 10 yellow coins and four purple nut-shaped tokens. The second showed 50%, another 10 coins and eight purple tokens. Level 3 began with totals of 120 yellow coins and 12 purple units. We did not reach the wheel reward.
Undo begins with a visible count of 10. After one move was reversed, the board returned to its earlier state and the count changed to 9. That reduced count was still visible after restarting. The circular-arrow Restart button restored the initial Level 3 layout and returned to its Start screen without a confirmation prompt; the displayed currencies did not change.
An extra-bolt help started with three uses. Activating it added another empty bolt and reduced its counter to two without showing an advertisement or payment request. This can create room when the accessible colours cannot be joined directly. The speaker button also switched visually between sound on and muted, and was returned to its initial state.
Ads and limits of our test
A five-second interstitial appeared after the Playgama launch step and had to be closed before the tutorial. Levels 1 and 2 were uninterrupted. Interstitials appeared again when starting Level 3 and after restarting it and pressing Start once more. The ads were closed through Close Ad and were not clicked.
No timer, move limit, life counter, numerical score or stars appeared in the observed levels. We did not produce a genuine failure, and no Hint, Skip, Pause, general Settings, level selection or shop was found. Two currencies were visible, but no price or real-money offer appeared, so purchases remain unverified. Mobile controls, touch input, fullscreen and later levels were not tested. The game was displayed in a tall portrait player on desktop, at roughly a 9:16 proportion.

Frequently asked questions
Where can a selected nut be placed?
On an empty bolt or on a stack whose top nut has the same colour. A yellow-on-red attempt was refused without a visible penalty.
Can several nuts move together?
Yes. Consecutive matching nuts at the top can move as a group; two yellow nuts were transferred together during Level 2.
What do Undo and the extra bolt do?
Undo reverses the previous move and consumes one displayed use. The extra-bolt help adds an empty workspace and also reduces its own counter.
Does the game have a timer or move limit?
Neither appeared in Levels 1 or 2 or at the beginning of Level 3. Later restrictions and the actual failure condition were not tested.
